As you all may be aware of, there was a LTSP developer hackfest this
last weekend. I have not had a chance to do a write up myself, but you
can get the general idea of the results from Jim's email below.

Warren Togami and I have been working out the bugs in our prototype for
K12LTSP. In theory, I should have a functional (but far from
production-ready) prototype of "LTSP 5" in Fedora Core 6 test 3 this
weekend. A write up of what we are trying to do would be nice, but
running code would illustrate the point so much better ;-)

The mid-term goal (Spring 2007), as noted in the link for LTSP5 below,
is to have all of K12LTSP integrated into Fedora Core 7.

Hey guys,

I've created a wiki page with our notes from our Face-to-face Hackfest
last weekend.

     http://wiki.ltsp.org/twiki/bin/view/Ltsp/Ltsp5

I'd like you all to take a look at it and either make changes directly to
the wiki, or send me your ideas for changes.

For those of you on this list that weren't at our Hackfest (most of you),
take a look at the wiki page I linked to above for a description of what
we did during that hackfest. And, I'd like to hear your comments on the
page as well.

Thanks,

Jim McQuillan
