As a matter of policy, the 'enterprise' versions (RHEL, and thus Centos 
which is a direct clone)) do not do version level updates within a 
distribution release life.  With minor exceptions they just backport 
security and bug fixes to the released version for their updates so 
there are no surprises or behavior changes.  This is good for stability 
but not so good for features.
