[K12OSN] needed: recommendations for Linux flavor with ongoing support

I have to second Ubuntu.  For a truly open source endeavor, and such
incredible ease of installation, software installation, tweaking,
Ubuntu is just too awesome.  I've tried so many flavors of linux over
the last 5-10 years, I've never worked with a distro that is so easy
to make work.  My second favorite would have to be Fedora.

That's my 2 cents anyway.
