[K12OSN] Networking a new school for K12LTSP?

Having moved into a 48k square foot new library w/200+ PC's last year, here
are some tips that helped me.

Have a map of the new building and give one to the cable guys so that they can
mark on it where each cable bundle goes to. That way you know which wiring
closet to go to in case you need to do some work. Also, make a copy of the
map the cabling crew makes and tack it in each wiring closet.

One last tip is to make sure the cabling guys terminate the connectors
correctly and not do a sloppy job.

Ok, one more tip. If you have a computer lab make sure there are PLENTY of AC
outlets (rated to take the load of all the PC's on at the same time) and not
just the bare minimum.

Get a Hound & Dog cable tracer and use it as a quick and dirty noise tester
(along with its regular use). If they ran cables too close to Florecent
lighting or other EMI generators you will hear it on the Hound (buzzing
noise).

That's about all I can think of at the moment.
