No you don't need a sound card in the server. I don't have a sound
card in my server and it works fine. Check the following two rpms

$ rpm -q flash-plugin
flash-plugin-9.0.31.0-1

$ rpm -q libflashsupport
libflashsupport-0.1.1-2098.EL4
