[K12OSN] How do you setup clients so they print to different default printers?

One thing that has been suggested on this list that forces users to  
select their printers is to make the default printer for all users  
something that does not exist (/dev/null so to speak). This means  
that users have to select a printer each time they want to print.  
This seems to be a good low-tech way to go.
