I think I may be wrong.  After a quick google search I found this page which indicates
that rdesktop should be able to mimic all features of a windows rdp client.  However you
should probably test that the sound module for your client is correctly configured with
a standard ltsp session first before troubleshooting sound in rdesktop.  Maybe if sound
isn't working it is your clients configuration in lts.conf that is the problem, not
rdesktop.
