If you mean what you see on the server's display, yes, the login screen is different 
than what appears at the clients.  But that's just cosmetics.  I think you can even 
change that so that the server login screen (the 'greeter') is the same as what the 
clients see.  Look under System -> Administration -> Login Screen.

No, hook a switch to eth0, plug some clients into that, and see if they boot.  eth1 is 
the upstream link, that is, the NIC that should be connected to the school network/internet.

StarOffice is distributed by Sun.  It's a commercial product from a commercial company. 
  As such, there are restrictions on how it can be distributed--that is, you can only 
get it from Sun.  There's no problem with YOU downloading it and using it on your 
system/server, but Sun doesn't allow anyone else to distribute it.  Besides, as K12LTSP 
is a community effort, its software collection focuses on community-based projects.  You 
have to think about 'free' in terms of speech, not price.

As mentioned, this is a community effort, meaning documentation is created by the users, 
including you now. ;-)  There is the K12LTSP wiki at 
http://k12ltsp.org/mediawiki/index.php/Main_Page.  There is the LTSP wiki at 
wiki.ltsp.org.  And there is the #ltsp IRC channel, for real-time questions & answers. 
Rather than asking what others can do for you, ask what you can do for others.  When you 
run into a problem, check the wikis.  If you can't find an answer there, post your 
question to the list, and we'll try to help.  And once you solve a problem, post it to 
the wiki so that others can benefit from your learning experience.
