I haven't done it, but I'd expect picking smb authentication to work.  I 
have a similar question about openfiler: http://www.openfiler.com/. 
Does anyone know how well its included ldap server setup would work as 
the master authentication for k12ltsp (fedora,centos) servers that might 
also have home directories served from there?
