[K12OSN] Printing problem - strange!!!

I'm on v6 and see the same problem - I'm on a mixed network of Win32 and
LTSP, and I think the cause of the issue is that CUPS doesn't send a
proper wake-up in the morning; my specific printer is an HP 2400.. if an
LTSP term is the first to print after a long break in which the printer
goes into standby, then the printer doesn't wake up and the queue gets
backed up.

I solved this by issuing (on the LCD of the printer) a wakeup at 8AM
every morning a few minutes before the staff shows up.

Hope this helps,
  Michael
