[K12OSN] Vernier Logger Pro

Today I attempted to install Vernier Logger Pro software on my machine.
It is running LTSP and Fedora 6. I currently have 1 thin client. I
honestly did not expect this to work, even under Wine. To my enormous
surprise, I had the software working simultaneously (2 users) on both
the thin client and the server.

It couldn't read the Labpro unit, but I was doing video analysis anyway.
I showed the kids how to do tomorrow's lab with it.

Tonight, I decided to run the software again, just to be sure I was
ready for tomorrow. Disaster! The program starts. I see a flash of the
program, the screen goes black, and when it comes back, the program is
not running. When I try to run it again, the computer tells me the
program is already running. If I try to run a second instance of it, the
same thing happens.

The only thing I really did all day with the computer was run a Wacom
tablet (and the software was fine before and after) and run a few
OpenOffice Presentations. After school, I ran some streaming audio. It
wasn't working (which may be related) so I shut down and restarted the
server.

This wouldn't bother me much because, as I said, I never thought it
would work. However, since I got it to work, tested and ran it for
several classes, and then it magically quit working, I'm irritated.

Does anyone have any light to shed on this subject?
