[K12OSN] Please not M$ Exchange

The new superintendent wants an Exchange Server, mostly for web based 
email, task, calendar and group calendars w/free busy info.  He liked 
the look of Zimbra and Scalix, but Scalix doesn't seem to have tasks and 
I don't like the yearly fee for Zimbra.  He didn't like the look of 
Horde (I need to find a better skin).  I've also started looking at 
eGroupWare and OpenGroupware.  Has anyone had success with any of these 
or have an alternative they could recommend?
