[K12OSN] logging in as root

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my last message.  What I really want to know is a
location for some good documentation.  Now that I have my server up and
running, how can I have my client (XP) connect to the server and how do I
run programs from the thin client.

logging in as root? you aren't going to be able to at the GUI by default...

hit ctrl-alt-F1
you should get a text-based login...

attempt to login as root there or via SSH...if you've installed ssh 
server...let us know...I forget how to enable logging in as root on the GUI.
