Gert,
On your Ebox 2500 run the following two commands, after doing an
CTL-ALT-F2 and dropping to a bash prompt.
ls /dev/dsp
,,, you should return /dev/dsp
ps aux | grep esd
,,,you should get a line return with - tcp port 16001 nobeeps etc
Also you did not mention if you have added the PusleAudio add on package
or the OSS to esd redirection package? If you have added either or both
of these please try removing them and reinstalling the stock ltsp-esd
rpms. there will be two of them esound-server & esound. You will have to
use the --nodeps --force options to reinstall these two.
If you get a return on each of the two commands above try plugging your
speaker jack into the mic hole on your Ebox2500.
