Same problem with the combos, the one with snd-via82xx doesn't work at all.

Test results with snd-hda-intel and snd-pcm-oss:

Alsa: Could not open resource for writing
ESD: seems ok but no sound
OSS: Could not open resource for writing

I Also noticed this message at client bootup:

*snd-hda-intel: invalid position buffer using LPIB read method instead

*this message appears also without the snd-pcm-oss option
