We use these on our XP Machines and I just had to set our firefox settings
to open the files automatically with Java Web Start instead of prompting the
students because we disallow downloads using the great Public Fox Addon.
Anyways I quick google search for Java Web Start Linux returned so promising
results. Let us know how things turn out.
