[K12OSN] Need help transfering EL5 from desktop to laptop

Hi Robert,

This is merly a guess but does the desktop you were copying <from have an
HD in it with the weird 15 heads per sector? Some Dells had these HD's a
few years back. If this is the case the copying like you are doing will
not work to a 16 heads per sector HD.which your laptop may( probably)
have. From what you have posted everything looks right on your laptop HD.
Another thought if you want to really get geeky is boot up both machines
from rescue mode, run hexeditor on your first 1024 of each HD and see what
the difference is. Of course one is going to be sdax and the other hdax
somewhere along the line.
