Yes, I do have an entry in /etc/dhcpd-k12ltsp.conf.

     host ws253 {
        hardware ethernet     00:01:03:8b:0e:2e;
        fixed-address         10.10.1.253;
     }

and I can see ws253 and manipulate it using fl_teachertool fine.
