Re: [K12OSN] Firefox glitch dropdown menus

Hello, Barry,

You are probably looking at a poorly designed page -- FF2 and 3 handles z-index settings properly; IE, on the other hand, doesn't. It makes for lots of fun :)

Some background info on z-index:

http://www.w3schools.com/Css/css_positioning.asp -- link is down the page a little bit
http://www.w3schools.com/Css/pr_pos_z-index.asp

And a post that describes a workaround for the IE z-index bug: http://www.brenelz.com/blog/2009/02/03/squish-the-internet-explorer-z-index-bug/

Cheers,

Bill

Mike,

Could you de-cypher this. Were is the z-index attribute? What are the
values possible?

Thanks,
Barry
