I installed k12linux-release-5.2.17-1.el6.x86_64.rpm and went from
there. The server is running SL 6.1.

The server has the following:

   256 roland> rpm -qa | grep fuse
   fuse-2.8.3-3.el6_1.x86_64
   gvfs-fuse-1.4.3-12.el6.x86_64
   fuse-sshfs-2.2-6.el6.x86_64
   fuse-libs-2.8.3-3.el6_1.x86_64

I found these instructions https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebugLocalDev and get
through to the end with a manual attempt to mount the file system:

   -bash-4.1# ssh -X -S /var/run/ldm_socket_vt1_192.168.3.36
192.168.3.36 "/usr/sbin/ltspfsmounter /tmp add"
   root at 192.168.3.36's password:
   Wrote 842a4bb8bbb5126a62a2d5f5f07590fa size 32, waiting

At which point nothing happens.

However, I think I may have found the problem:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ltsp/+bug/690050

According to the comment there ltspfs has a problem with 64-bit, which
is what I'm running. It's an ubuntu-listed bug which seems to track back
to this bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ltsp/+bug/415952

So...do I need to revert to 32-bit images to get this to work?
