Some Broadcom nics are closed source driver issues (Grr!). You may have one of these. You'll need to use a module from rpmfusion-nonfree to get the nic to work on the TC. That will require a boot kernel rebuild and a rebuild of the initrd. The Ubuntu image works because they are not based in the US and often ship code that is not freely available fro distribution.
