If you hate configuring sendmail (like me) you can drop this on your box:

# yum -y install msmtp

# cat ~/.msmtprc

account default
host smtp.xxxxxxx.redhat.com
from xxx at redhat.com
tls on
tls_certcheck off
syslog LOG_MAIL
auth off

Sendmail-problem solved. Not for production systems. :-)
