Well, katello-configure only expects it is executed on RH-based distro.
It could work, patches are welcome from the community, but right now, I
did not test it. Try to run it on Debian (or whatever) and see it if
works. I doubt it works, there are so many differences across other
distros.

Therefore, creating such an option to katello-configure seems to be lots
of work and still it cannot be used on other systems (like MacOS etc).
I'd rather stick NOT to extend katello-configure much. Currently I am
working on big review and --reset option implementation and its about
two weeks of work. Pretty challenging to do everything in Puppet.
