Kickstart monitor issues...

Couple questions:

1) How do you go about getting monitors added to the
   "/usr/share/hwdata/MonitorsDB" found in "stage2" ("netstg2"
   etc.)? Specifically:

      NEC; NEC LCD1530V; nec65a8; 31.0-60.0; 56.0-75.0; 1
      NEC; NEC LCD1550V; nec65c6; 31.0-60.0; 55.0-75.0; 1
      Samsung; Samsung SyncMaster 750p; sam40d7; 30-96; 50-160; 1

2) The command "/usr/sbin/ddcprobe" (from the "rhpl" package)
correctly probes the horizontal and vertical sync and yet the
probe built into kickstart does not for the above monitors.
It's clear that it gets the monitor ID correct (for instance
"sam40d7"), but ultimately sets the horizontal and vertical
sync rates incorrectly (usually what appears to be some low
default). This leads to lower resolutions after kickstart. Is
there any reason why kickstart shouldn't do at least as well
as "ddcprobe" for getting these values? Incidentally this seems
to have gotten worse from RedHat 8.0 on.
