nfs mount uniterruptible sleep

I am having a problem when installing RH 9 via a ks.cfg file.  When my config
file reaches the post section and tried to mount my nfs server it goes into a
uniterruptible sleep.  I find this odd because it just pulled the ks.cfg file
from this server and if I use Alt+F2 to get a shell and issue the mount command
by hand it works just fine.  quick example of what my post script is doing:

mkdir /root/install
mount xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:/redhat /root/install
