Custom dialog messages

Looks like the TERM type is hardcoded/non-existent/misdetected. As a
guess, try setting TERM=linux (and exporting) before calling dialog. Any
particular reason to use a statically compiled version (or are you
referring to the standard kickstart-bundled one)?
