You can search the Dell Linux archives for some discussion on this.  Probably
the simplest thing to do is to just plug your network into the other NIC
during initial setup.

Otherwise you can use ksdevice=link and then use this utility written by Matt
Domsch (sp?) at Dell to "rename" your NIC's to what they should be:

  http://linux.dell.com/files/name_eths/

As far as I know there is no "fix" in the works from Dell for this issue.
