Problem with finding kickstart file from the cdrom

Did you try:

  ks=cdrom:/dev/sr0:/ks/ks-install.cfg

This at least works for Fedora 18 (and "cdrom" in kickstart file).
But from what you wrote, I guess this won't work either.
