Creating completely custom Package and repodata

The issue i am trying to resolve is creating the custom group. I can't
have kickstart install it if it does not even recognize it. Also, i
want to understand what is going on beneath scenes so i can have a
better understanding of the tools i am using, and i am sure i am using
everything properly.
