Ummm ... it's the symlink hack which I was (am) still dubious
about. However a straight revert of the git commit to whatever
was before it fine.

virt-p2v converts physical machines to virtual machines. Boot with a
live CD or over the network (PXE) and turn machines into KVM guests.
