Ah interesting: my idea for it was to provide a way to pass arbitrary
output options (-oo) as kernel command line, and configurable in the
UI. That's so far just an idea though.

It is true that p2v does not use the generator, however the files
related to the configuration are still generated (by a Perl script,
generate-p2v-config.pl). So IMHO it would be a matter of porting the
code from OCaml to Perl.

Feel free to send the work you had for this when you find it (no
hurry), even if incomplete.
