Hi Rich,

I agree, but prefer to avoid direct use of strcmp altogether.
I use this definition:

  #define STREQ(a, b) (strcmp (a, b) == 0)

Then all uses are either
   STREQ(a, b) or
 ! STREQ(a, b)
