The application tag is intended to be used to specify one or executables 
or scripts to run in the container.  For simple cases where there is 
only one or a few things to be started in the container, they could be 
specified with this tag.  Otherwise, it would point to an initialization 
script that would take care of starting the appropriate items for the 
container.
