Disk usage is tricky to monitor from the hypervisor.  Have a look
around for my 'virt-df' tool (which doesn't actually work at the
moment -- it needs a bit of loving).  Here are a couple of starting



In general terms, if you want to monitor things like disk usage,
actual memory usage, process lists and so on, you need to have an
agent running inside the guest.  Collectd might be a good start.

virt-p2v converts physical machines to virtual machines.  Boot with a
live CD or over the network (PXE) and turn machines into Xen guests.
