You need to supply lots more details.  What's your default network?
Is libvirtd running?  Do you get any error messages?  /sbin/ifconfig -a?
/usr/sbin/brctrl show?

virt-p2v converts physical machines to virtual machines.  Boot with a
live CD or over the network (PXE) and turn machines into Xen guests.
