This isn't going into libvirt because the whole point of libvirt is to
be hypervisor independent.  Nevertheless, you can do this, and the
'nice' thing, by setting <emulator> to be your own custom shell

virt-df lists disk usage of guests without needing to install any
software inside the virtual machine.  Supports Linux and Windows.
