I was just testing libvirt with different VirtualBox versions on
Windows and found a strange problem. After downgrading to VirtualBox
3.0.0 libvirt failed to connect with a strange error, about not being
able to create the main IVirtualBox COM object. Using the VirtualBox
GUI to create a dummy virtual machine fixed this, I've no clue why.

Is the VirtualBox setup on your Solaris machine a fresh one or does it
already have running virtual machines? Yes, this is a random guess
into the blue :)
