I use the newest libvirt on RHEL6.
And I build rpm by hand.
You can use git to clone the tree from libvirt.org.
The steps to build a rpm package:
1. ./autogen.sh
2. make dist
3. rpmbuild --nodeps --define "_sourcedir `pwd`" -ba libvirt.spec
