I think that making "tag id=" an XML attribute in one case and an
element in another is problematic. May I suggest just using:
<vlan [trunk='yes|no']> <!-- if unspecified, trunk defaults to 'no' -->
<tag id='nn'/>
[<tag id='nn'/> ...]
</vlan>
