Hmm, actually backporting VIR_STRDUP is a bit of a pain, since it came after
the virstring split and accumulated several bug fixes just to the VIR_STRDUP code.

I've applied this patch, we can consider the VIR_STRDUP backport later if
issues like this are causing us pain.
