Why did I think that we had eliminated all use of "-usb"? Is it that 
we're currently only using it in the tests? If so, that's another thing 
to eliminate - we should never be using -usb unless that's the only way 
to get a usb device for a particular qemu (and I don't know that that is 
*ever* the case).

That's not the problem of this patch, though. ACK.

(as for the s390 test that is unrealistic - awhile back I removed 
another of those; something about verifying proper ignoring of a <device 
type='usb'/> (since S390 doesn't support USB; the only reason it ever 
showed up in a config is that the libvirt code to auto-add a usb device 
hadn't been told to not add one for S390 :-/)
