Now that the freeze is over and libvirt-2.0.0 is released, I'm finally 
able to push this patch (with tweaks as I indicated in the review, 
including Peter's request to sanitize the metadata so there is at most 
one occurence of any given namespace).

Thanks again for your contribution! (and feel free to whip up the 
patches for metadata get/set API :-)
