[libvirt] [PATCH 0/2] hostdev: Small usability improvements

Patch 2/2 is basically

and patch 1/2 is an implementation of the idea outlined in

to address the flaw discovered by John.

Spun off from the main series because it can be merged on its
own, and I still need to rework the remaining patches a bit
before posting v2 of that.
