That's done in the next commit. Do you want me to copy it here too? I 
figured I'd put the justification where I'm actually setting the 
internal knob.

BTW: I'm linking qemu patch in the cover letter that documents that 
x-use-canonical-.. is stable and shouldn't be removed/mangled with.
