I have pushed these changes as is to master.

We may want to consider generating a "release" since the last one was
0.6.3 in July 2013.

I would not expect any of these changes to make a RHEL6 based release.
In fact, as upstream diverges further from what RHEL downstream has - it
becomes more difficult to merge or cherry-pick changes from upstream.

Any changes added to upstream for RHEL6 need to be easily picked and
need to have a way to test easily.
