What initiators does libvirt support for the iSCSI pool? Will it work with qlogic's iSCSI HBAs for instance?

The iscsi pool type supports only open-iscsi using iscsiadm.

However, libvirt's scsi pool type supports any scsi adapter. If the qlogic card looks like any other HBA to the OS, the scsi pool type can be used to discover the volumes available through it. See:

http://libvirt.org/storage.html#StorageBackendSCSI

The configuration of the card will have to be done by means outside libvirt.
