Oops, I had accidentally pasted the wrong (experimental) config.

I get the exact same error when I use type='pty'.

Is it possible that the libvirt_lxc emulator is getting called with a
missing or incorrect value for its -c argument?

It did work for me under 0.9.2. I had trouble building 9.6 and 9.8-rc2
deb packages for squeeze, so did not test those versions yet.
