[libvirt-users] Error: unable to connect to '/var/run/libvirt/libvirt-sock'

Hi,
I meet with the problem that "Error: unable to connect to
'/var/run/libvirt/libvirt-sock' ".
I do as  Error: unable to connect to '/var/run/libvirt/libvirt-sock'

but never worked:

root at shahe26:~# /etc/init.d/libvirt-bin restart
Restarting libvirt management daemon: /usr/sbin/libvirtd.
root at shahe26:~# virsh
error: unable to connect to '/var/run/libvirt/libvirt-sock', libvirtd may
need to be started: No such file or directory
error: failed to connect to the hypervisor
root at shahe26:~#

I install the libvirt as follows:
#./configure --prefix=/usr --libdir=/usr/lib64
#make
#make install

my OS is debian6.0.1a:
root at shahe26:~# uname -a
Linux shahe26 2.6.32 #1 SMP Wed Apr 27 21:52:04 PDT 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux
root at shahe26:~#

How to solve this problem?thanks.
