[libvirt-users] Running libvirt from source on Ubuntu

Shawn,

Just to be sure, are you running "ps aux" as root? Because if you are
"shawn" when you run it, then depending on which groups "shawn" is in, it
may not divulge root's processes.

You might also try "libvirtd -v" - which will start it in the foreground
rather than as a daemon, and be more verbose about what it's doing. So if
it's failing to run for root, that might tell you why.
