Thanks.  I looked at the diffs for fsys.S, but hadn't seen the whole
patch.  I guess David hasn't pulled that one to his tree yet.

Your update looks good to me, but I'm going to run it by another ia64
person for sanity, as I'm relatively new to ia64 stuff.
